The "Marchesino" flatware concept
Unanimously considered the "father of Italian food", chef Gualtiero Marchesi (1930-2017) has inspired with his traditional, yet modern approach to Italian cuisine, many generations of professional young chefs and home cooks alike.
For master chef Gualtiero ingredients always deserved paramount regards, before, during and after cooking... while good recipes are indeed the proper path to a great meal, the quality of the ingredients and the way they are approached, deserve in his opinion a particular kind of respect.
With this philosophy in mind, a few years back he reached out to Andrea Berti with a very specific idea in mind: creating an uber simple set of steak silverware that would minimize the loss of juices when meat is portioned on a dining plate. His idea was simple and innovative, and we are convinced that any meat lover can understand the relevance of this very particular design.
This set, offered in its own wood box, is comprised of an 11.5 cm (4.5") steak knife with Ox Horn Handle and a two prongs meat fork, designed for maximum penetration and minimum damage to your favorite protein.
- SHIPPING. Each purchase will be shipped via DHL. We have arranged fixed prices per each continent for shipping and handling regardless of your zip code.
- UK EXCLUSION. As of Summer 2022 new import regulations forbid, knives, blades and sharp objects to be shipped to the UK. We are very sorry about that!
- CUSTOM TAX DUTIES. Purchases from the EU are subject to taxation when imported into U.S. territory. This charge will occur at time of delivery (or immediately prior) and is not included in the sale price.
